A Sourcing Story That Inspires Global Consumers
Our Commitment to Farmers
Real sustainability isn't just about labels; it's about people. At Pasanka, our success is intertwined with the livelihoods of the farmers we work with. We collaborate with 1,500 farmers, 75% of our agricultural network consists of rural women farmers and 173 of them certified organic.
By removing the financial barriers to organic certification for our growers, providing advanced technical training, and ensuring premium fair-trade pricing, we break cycles of economic vulnerability. In partnership with the Pasadul Farmers’ Welfare Association, every product you buy fuels community infrastructure, clean water access, and regenerative agricultural education, creating a permanent ripple of prosperity across Sri Lanka's southern villages.
Women Farmer Empowerment
Most of the farmers we work with are women, and they are truly the backbone of everything we do at Pasanka. We don’t just buy crops, we invest in their growth, their skills, and their futures. Through hands-on training, guidance in organic farming, and opportunities to take on leadership roles, these women are learning to manage their farms with confidence, make decisions for their families, and even mentor others in their communities. Every spice, herb, and flower they grow carries not just quality, but a story of dedication, resilience, and the pride of turning their land into something the world can enjoy. At Pasanka, supporting these women means helping entire communities flourish.
Fair Trade & Community Development
At Pasanka, fair pricing, transparency, and ethical sourcing aren’t just principles, they are the way we do business every single day. We believe that the value of our ingredients extends far beyond the farm; it reaches the people and communities who nurture them. That’s why we work hand-in-hand with the Pasadul Farmers’ Welfare Association to create programs that truly make a difference, supporting education for children, improving access to healthcare, and strengthening local economies. By investing in these communities, we help families build resilience, pass on farming knowledge, and create a brighter future for the next generation.
Every spice, herb, and fruit that leaves our farms carries the story of this commitment, an assurance to our global partners that when they choose Pasanka, they are choosing products that are not only premium and organic, but also socially responsible, sustainable, and ethically sourced.
